What is The Nanyan? 

Nanyan translates to ‘south campus’ and is widely used to refer to us down here in Shenzhen, the southern Beida (shorthand for Peking University) campus. The Nanyan Observer is Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School’s English media agency, a  dedicated student organization that operates in print and online media.

About Our School

Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (PKUSZ) is a public research university established as a satellite graduate school of Peking University in 2001 via a joint venture with the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is situated inside the University Town of Shenzhen, along with the graduate schools of Tsinghua University and the Harbin Institute of Technology. The present chancellor of the school is Dr. Zhan Qimin.

PKU Shenzhen consists of eight individual schools:

  1. HSBC Business School
  2. School of Transnational Law
  3. School of Electronic & Computer Engineering
  4. School of Chemical Biology & Biotechnology
  5. School of Environment & Energy
  6. School of Urban Planning & Design
  7. School of Advanced Materials
  8. School of Humanities & Social Sciences

English full-time programs and exchange programs are offered through the HSBC Business School and the School of Transnational Law.
